NFL DFS Week 4: Consistently Cashin'

Quarterbacks Kirk Cousins , Minnesota Vikings I get it. You never feel great about playing Cousins, but so far this year, he’s put up 25, 25.3, and 28.1 DraftKings points. He’s pretty affordable there as well and he’s a perfect 3-for-3 in clutch games this season.

Taylor Heinicke , Washington Football Team I love the way he plays in real life, and I think he can be useful in fantasy as well. He’s 2 for 3 in Clutch Games thus far in 2021. He’s got enough weapons around him to have success, and Washington has a soft pass defense. Heinicke will have to throw often to keep his team in games, so the volume should be there. This week he gets Atlanta who is terrible at defending everything and everyone. His affordable price on both sites lets you pay up other places.

Honorable Mention -- Sam Darnold , Baker Mayfield , Matt Ryan

Running Backs Alvin Kamara , New Orleans Saints Kamara should have a game script that favors him, and he gets a matchup against a Giants defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season. Don’t be surprised if Kamara pushes 30 touches in this game. If you don’t want Derrick Henry this week, Kamara is the high-priced running back you want and need.

Jonathan Taylor , Indianapolis Colts The Miami Dolphins have allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season and the seventh-most receiving yards per game to the position. Taylor is a little banged up, but if he isn’t held back, he’s in line for a monster fantasy performance. Taylor will be 50 percent consistent after this game. Book it.

David Montgomery , Chicago Bears As crazy as it sounds, I actually like the Lions' defense this week in DFS. I also like Montgomery a lot due to the mess that is the Chicago quarterback situation. The Bears will lean on Montgomery to get it going, which will lead to a ton of touches. Montgomery has also collected two clutch games in three outings, so if you want to get crazy and start both Montgomery and the Lions' defense, I think the game script will play out so that both will return solid production.

Honorable Mention -- Trey Sermon , Derrick Henry , Antonio Gibson , Zack Moss

Wide Receivers Corey Davis , New York Jets Revenge game. Enough said! Yes, Zach Wilson has been bad, but the guy has had a heck of a run with tough defenses to begin the year. This is the softest pass defense the Jets have faced this season, seeing as the Titans have allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Start Davis against his former squad.

Terry McLaurin , Washington Football Team The Falcons have allowed the 13th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, and Atlanta is one of just four teams to have allowed at least eight passing touchdowns this season. In three starts with Heinicke (including last year’s playoff game), McLaurin is averaging just over 17 fantasy points (PPR) per game.

Odell Beckham Jr. , Cleveland Browns OBJ saw nine targets in his return from injury against Chicago, hauling in five. He will remain the top option for Baker Mayfield as long as he’s healthy. Minnesota has allowed six touchdowns to wide receivers and continues to be one of the friendliest in terms of fantasy points to the position. His affordable price tags on both sites ($5800 on DK, $6600 on FD) allows you to pay up elsewhere.

Honorable Mention -- Jaylen Waddle , Calvin Ridley , Davante Adams , Cooper Kupp , Brandin Cooks , Emmanuel Sanders

Tight Ends Travis Kelce , Kansas City Chiefs It’s easier to fit Kelce’s 100-percent consistency into your lineup on FanDuel compared to DraftKings, but he’s in a great spot. Did you see what Dalton Schultz just did to this Philadelphia defense? Dallas actively sought him out in matchups, so why wouldn’t Kansas City do what they do on a weekly basis with Kelce? If Kelce has half of the talent that Schultz has, he could score 30 fantasy points in this game.

Logan Thomas , Washington Football Team It’s tough to not want to pay up week after week for Travis Kelce , but if you don’t Thomas makes for an excellent mid-priced pivot. At $4900 on DK and $5800 on FD, you will be able to get solid production from the position and still afford some studs in other places. Thomas is a perfect 100% consistent in his first three games, and with a matchup against a porous Falcons defense, there's no reason to believe he won’t keep that streak going in Week 4.

Honorable Mention -- Noah Fant , Dawson Knox , Kyle Pitts

D/ST Detroit Lions You can make an easy argument the Lions roster isn’t that talented. However, you can’t deny Dan Campbell has this team playing hard, as evidenced by the showing against the Ravens in Week 3. The defensive unit picked Lamar Jackson off, and allowed just 19 points, while sacking the mobile QB four times. They were also able to hold the Ravens' offense to just one third-down conversion out of 10. They come in this week at a super affordable $2200 on DK, and with the state of the Bears passing game, it figures to be a great week to cheap out at the defensive spot.

Honorable Mention -- Buffalo, New Orleans
