MLB DFS Cheat Sheet: DraftKings, FanDuel 6/22

Tonight, we have a nine-game MLB DFS slate with some nice value across the board. Let's get into it, and don't forget to scroll to the bottom for my complete suggested plays.

MLB DFS Strategy 6/22 Core Pitchers Carlos Rodón , SF vs. ATL (DK: $10,200 | FD: $10,500)

Rodon has a tough matchup against the hot-hitting Braves but his ceiling has been very high. He has back-to-back 30-plus fantasy point performances and has only given up three runs in his last four starts. Playing Atlanta may keep his ownership low, making it even better if he has another huge day.

Shohei Ohtani , LAA vs. KC (DK: $8,500 | FD: $10,000)

Ohtani is my favorite play on the board and will be in most of my lineups. He has 26 plus points in back-to-back starts and if he can get us at least five innings he should eclipse 20 minimum. The light-hitting Royals did light up the board last night but this will be a daunting task against this power pitcher. Look for Ohtani to get the win and score us 25 tonight.

Jordan Montgomery , NYY @ TB (DK: $7,400 | FD: $9,100)

Montgomery has been solid and takes on an amazingly undermanned Ray’s squad. Looking at the stats and you will see he has not given up over three runs in any game and should be a steady arm who comes at a very good price based on recent performance.

Core Hitters 1B Ryan Mountcastle , BAL vs. WAS (DK: $3,800 | FD: $3,400)

A great matchup and a great price for a 30-plus home run hitter against Patrick Corbin who has been bad this year, giving up 11 home runs with a 6.59 ERA. The Orioles can be stacked or you can use Mountcastle as a one-off but he should get some great swings in tonight.

SS Javier Báez , DET vs. BOS (DK: $4,000 | FD: $2,800)

Baez has been extremely hot in his last four games, averaging just over 17 fantasy points. The Tigers are getting a little better at the plate and I expect Baez to get a couple hits against Red Sox SP Michael Wacha .

OF Taylor Ward , LAA vs. KC (DK: $4,300 | FD: $2,900) and OF Mike Trout , LAA vs. KC (DK: $5,900 | FD: $4,400)

When in doubt, go with Ward and Trout. I love the match-up for these two right-handed hitters against the Royals lefty Daniel Lynch . Lynch was dynamite last time out against the A’s but was lit up for five home runs over his previous three starts. You can stack the Angels but I don’t like the other Angels like Jared Walsh as much against a lefty, and Ohtani is on the mound. Let’s just stick with these two or use them as one-offs.

OF Juan Soto , WAS vs. BAL (DK: $5,300 | FD: $4,200)

With this play are paying more for upside and potential vs. the matchup rather than on-field performance. There is no doubt that Juan Soto is a top 10 MLB talent but he just hasn’t gotten it all together yet this year. Tonight, I expect the Nats to put up runs against Orioles SP Tyler Wells who doesn’t miss many bats.

3B José Ramírez , CLE vs. MIN (DK: $5,800 | FD: $4,300)

I love Ram Man tonight and I will be playing him in 90% of my lineups. He should get a ton of chances to produce, and I have the Guardians as my sneaky stack but will be using him with everyone.

Value Plays OF Riley Greene , DET vs. BOS (DK: $2,100 | FD: $2,600)

Just $2,100 on DK is too cheap of a price for a prospect of Greene’s caliber. He has produced every game thus far and is hitting in the heart of the Tiger’s lineup.

SS Jorge Mateo , BAL vs. WAS ($2,600 | FD: $2,300)

I think he will contribute tonight with a hit or two but I am looking for a stolen base or two as well. I think he can get double-digit points at a cheap price.

SS Oneil Cruz , PIT vs. CHC (DK: $2,700 | FD: $2,700)

Cruz had a nice start to his MLB career, netting three hits, two runs, five RBI and a stolen base. His price will be near $4K by the time the season is over. Enjoy the savings now.

OF Michael Harris II, (DK: $3,100 | FD: $3,400)

Harris continues to produce, getting a hit and a run last night. He has eight double-digit games out of his last 11. The match-up appears tough on paper but you just can’t beat this price and production combination.

1B Josh Bell , WAS vs. BAL (DK: $3,500 | FD: $3,500)

Bell has too much power and upside to be priced this cheap, not to mention a plus matchup against Oriole SP Wells. Bell is hitting almost .300 and has 11 home runs and his price is $1K less than a guy like Whit Merrifield who is hitting .229 with three home runs matched up against Ohtani. I like those savings.

SP George Kirby , SEA vs. OAK (DK: $6,600 | FD: $8,800)

Kirby has a lot of talent and strike-out potential. He also has a plus match-up against the A’s who are near the bottom in almost all offensive categories. He faced them earlier this season and scored 16.5 points A repeat would easily make value but I think he can get us to 20 and be a great bargain.

Top Stacks Baltimore Orioles vs. Washington Nationals As mentioned, Nat’s SP Patrick Corbin has been having a bad season with an inflated ERA and giving up a bunch of home runs. Baltimore's bullpen isn’t very good either so I think the Orioles can put up six-plus runs. The Orioles stack is reasonably priced with some value plays as well.

SS Jorge Mateo (DK: $2,600 | FD: $2,300) 1B/OF Trey Mancini (DK: $3,300 | FD: $2,900) C Adley Rutschman (DK: $3,400 | FD: No Play) OF Anthony Santander (DK: $3,700 | FD: $3,200) 1B Ryan Mountcastle (DK: $3,800 | FD: $3,400) OF Austin Hays (DK: $4,100 | FD: $3,100) Sneaky Stack Cleveland Guardian vs. Minnesota Twins Twins SP Sonny Gray has been excellent this season but one has to wonder when the wheels are going to fall off. Not that Gray is going to turn into Patrick Corbin , but there has to be some regression. Doesn’t there? The Guardians are at full strength and they have a lot of cheap prices around José Ramírez so I love them as a sneaky stack tonight.
