DraftKings NFL GPP DFS Week 8: Chalk, Pivots and Plays

Week 8 DraftKings GPP plays DraftKings Quarterback Plays QB Jalen Hurts , Philadelphia Eagles $8,300

Hurts has averaged over 25 points per game and takes on one of the league’s worst pass defenses in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Not only that but we all know what he can do with his legs. I have the Eagles scoring 30 points and see no reason why Hurts can’t score 20-plus.

QB Kyler Murray , Arizona Cardinals $7,500

Murray faces a Vikings defense that has given up a ton of passing yards and not to very good offenses either. The Vikings have often struggled against mobile quarterbacks and Murray excelled in this matchup last year. The Vikings’ pass defense has not improved and I expect 350 yards combined rushing and passing along with three scores.

QB Tua Tagovailoa , Miami Dolphins $6,200

A great matchup against a weak Lions secondary. This game has a chance to shoot out with the Dolphins pushing for more and more offense. When healthy the Dolphins have some of the best weapons in the game in wide receiver Hill and wide receiver Waddle. Tua’s price point is just too little in a matchup this good.

QB Sam Ehlinger , Indianapolis Colts $4,000

Ehlinger has a chance to break the slate at a minimum price. He has good weapons and is playing at home. He also has a ton of mobility and can run for 50-plus yards. He allows you to get Henry and Kupp into your lineups.

DraftKings Running Back Plays RB Derrick Henry , Tennessee Titans $8,400

The key here is to attack the Texans’ run defense which is one of the worst in the league. They will know it’s coming but still won’t be able to stop it. Look for Henry to get 20-plus carries on his way to 100-plus yards and two scores.

RB Saquon Barkley , New York Giants $8,100

Barkley should be the focal point of the offense. He should gain 80 to 100 yards on the ground and chip in for five to six catches for another 50 yards. I think a touchdown is inevitable on his way to 20-plus points.

RB Kenneth Walker , Seattle Seahawks $6,500

Walker is as explosive as any back in the league right now. He makes moves and has a burst of speed that leaves defenders standing in their tracks. The Giants’ run defense gives up 5.7 yards per carry. Look for 20-plus touches and a trip into the end zone.

RB Tony Pollard , Dallas Cowboys $6,100

There is a big possibility that Ezekiel Elliott won’t play giving most of the reps to Pollard. The Bears are bad against the run and this is a dream matchup at this price. Pollard gets 100 yards and a touchdown.

RB Raheem Mostert , Miami Dolphins $5,900

I have talked up Mostert for several weeks and he has had two 20-plus point games out of his last three. Detroit is a great matchup and it’s been nice to see Mostert being targeted in the passing game. This game figures to be high scoring and I like him to score and approach 100 total yards.

RB D’Onta Foreman , Carolina Panthers $5,300

I love how Foreman plays, he runs hard as if his job depends on it. It looks like he will have the backfield all to himself as Hubbard hasn’t practiced all week. He is also an asset in the passing game as well. He should have no problem getting 20-plus touches with a clear pathway to 20 fantasy points.

DraftKings Wide Receiver Plays WR Cooper Kupp , Los Angeles Rams $8,600

There isn’t a receiver I trust more than Kupp. He averages 27 fantasy points per game and the 49ers’ secondary isn’t good. There is so much value on the board that you can easily fit him in your lineups.

WR DeAndre Hopkins , Arizona Cardinals $7,400

Hopkins looked great in his return. He showed quickness and the ability to get open. I will stack him with Murray in many lineups. He should roast a weak Minnesota secondary and find the end zone.

WR DeVonta Smith , Philadelphia Eagles $6,300

I do like A.J. Brown but I think there is a chance that Smith has the same production at over 1 K less. He has a great matchup against the Steelers’ secondary and will be stacked with Hurts.

WR Chris Olave , New Orleans Saints $6,000

Olave is the only game in town. He has had 13-plus targets in three games and has 15-plus fantasy points in four straight games. The volume is there in a game that could have a ton of points.

WR Brandin Cooks , Houston Texans $5,900

The way to move the ball against the Titans is through the air. Cooks should be the number one target and has a chance at 100 yards at a touchdown.

WR DJ Moore , Carolina Panthers $5,300

Moore is coming off his best game and should continue to get fed the ball. It’s also QB PJ Walker ’s third start and the Falcons’ defense doesn’t scare anyone. Walker should be more comfortable and has shown an increased willingness to throw the ball downfield.

WR Rondale Moore , Arizona Cardinals $5,100

All Cardinal receivers are in play to some extent. The Vikings play a shell zone and allow receivers to catch the ball underneath. I can see Moore getting seven catches for 70 yards. If he reaches the endzone he could get 20-plus points.

WR Michael Gallup , Dallas Cowboys $5,000

Gallup gave us a zero last week so I am expecting a bounce back this week. It is Dak’s second start at home and I expect the passing game to look a lot better than it did last week. Also WR Noah Brown is likely out which should give Gallup more targets.

DraftKings Tight End Plays TE Zach Ertz , Arizona Cardinals $5,100

I am sticking with the plan to attack the Vikings’ weak pass defense. As mentioned, they allow a lot of passes open over the middle. Ertz should eat.

TE Irv Smith Jr. Minnesota Vikings $3,500

Smith is an athletic tight end who has left valuable points on the field with dropped passes. He can get open and the Cardinals have given up the second most fantasy points to the tight end. I think the middle will be open with the Cardinals focusing their attention on WR Justin Jefferson .

TE Jake Ferguson , Dallas Cowboys $2,700

TE Dalton Schultz has been limited in practice again this week. Ferguson should get more game reps and is an athletic tight end who can find the end zone.
