MORE or LESS ( Ben Roethlisberger and Justin Fields)
Ben Roethlisberger enters this contest at a passing yards prop of 240.5. This is what I like to refer to as too close to call. Roethlisberger is averaging 254.4 passing yards per game entering this game. He faces a defense that allows 252.8 passing yards per game. Only four times has Ben Roethlisberger passed for more than 240.5 yards through the air. In a contest where we're basically splitting hairs, Roethlisberger averages 258.75 yards through the air in the four games he has met the Bears. Let's take the more and hold our breath. With Justin Fields, it really comes down to the play-calling of Matt Nagy and Bill Lazor. Fields has only passed for more than 175 twice this season and barely did so against the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Until I see Fields hit the more consistently I will have to select the less on his passing yards option.
Ben Roethlisberger MORE 240.5 passing yards
Justin Fields LESS 175.5 passing yards
So with this Rapidfire contest, the first leg is fairly logical for us to break down due to the fact we already assume Ben Roethlisberger will outperform Justin Fields in terms of passing yards. Even with the bonus of +66.5 in favor of Fields, it still would not be enough to barely outdo the veteran Ben Roethlisberger. That's not a big enough cushion to feel comfortable on that leg of the prop, therefore Ben Roethlisberger all the way. In a battle of two Steelers wide receivers, we are faced with Diontae Johnson vs. Chase Claypool. With MKF projecting Johnson at 74.5 receiving yards we only need a slight bump and production for Claypool to surpass Johnson knowing these two play each other close in this category throughout the season. Let's go Chase Claypool +19.5 receiving yards on this side of the prop.
One thing that I feel highly confident about in this game is, whether it is rushing or receiving, Najee Harris will find the end zone one way or another. As the season progresses the Pittsburgh Steelers have given the rookie running back more touches, and volume is king and we're going to chase that. Next, we select Diontae Johnson as he leads the Pittsburgh Steelers in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Finally, let's follow the comeback narrative of David Montgomery should he suit up. If not it's an easy pivot towards Khalil Herbert on the Chicago Bears' side of the ball.
