MORE or LESS (Russell Wilson and Taylor Heinicke)
Since coming off his finger surgery Russell Wilson hasn't exactly been cooking in the manner which we're used to seeing and even before the injury his passing performances weren't exactly full of fireworks either. Sure Washington, up until this point, has allowed 280 yards through the air to opposing offenses, but since coming off the bye this team has really turned it around containing the likes of Tom Brady and Cam Newton below 250-yard passing performances in back-to-back weeks. Given these two reasons combined, I have to smash the less on Russell Wilson's side of this prop at 240.5 passing yards. Now for Taylor Heinicke; he'll have to be effective in the short to intermediate throws in order to open the big shots down the field to Terry McLaurin and DeAndre Carter. The Seattle Seahawks defense allows 291.7 passing yards to opposing offenses per game and at 235.5 on the prop I have no problem smashing the more button with confidence on Taylor Heinicke's side of the prop.
Russell Wilson LESS 240.5 passing yards
Taylor Heinicke MORE 235.5 passing yards
We are fortunate enough to be able to apply the same strategies from more or less with this week's Rapidfire contest. Knowing that the Seahawks defense often allows opposing Quarterbacks to attack them through the air and seeing a bonus of +5.5 passing yards associated with Taylor Heinicke in this contest, it's easy to select Heinicke over Wilson in this one. To nail the second leg of this prop we have to choose who will have more receiving yards between Seahawks wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. While Metcalf has been targeted just a little bit more since Russell Wilson's return, Lockett has been more efficient with his opportunities and leads the team in receiving yards. While it may be close between these two, give me Tyler Lockett with +10.5 receiving yards.
Before we begin to lock in our players for this touchdown dance, I want to begin with setting our goal at 1.5 touchdowns first. Many oddsmakers see this not being a high-scoring game so let's keep that in mind. With a game like this, it's best to set the goal low and double the buy-in. With my first and second selections I'm going heavy on the Washington Football Team, let's lock in Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson to score touchdowns. Now of course We have to break up the monotony so for our Seattle Seahawks play let's lock in DK Metcalf as our third option to find the end zone and close out this touchdown dance.
