Week 5 Monkey Knife Fight Prop Games
Touchdown Dance (Early Slate)
Davante Adams, Damien Harris, and Dalvin Cook
● Adams: There’s no need to overthink it. Adams has an insane volume share and Green Bay should be able to move the ball on the Cincinnati defense. He leads the team in red-zone targets, and he just has a way of getting open. He’s always a threat for multiple scores.
● Harris: After two quiet games, look for the Patriots to re-establish the run in a game that sets up to turn out rather favorably for the New England rushing attack. The Texans have allowed four touchdowns to running backs this season, and the offense’s inability to maintain drives with Davis Mills under center leaves the defense gassed by the second half. Harris is one of my favorite plays across the board in Week 5.
● Cook: We need some good grace with Cook’s health, but anything close to his normal workload should be massive for those who invest in Cook this weekend. The Lions have allowed nine touchdowns to running backs this season. NINE! As long as he’s playing and has a semi-normal workload, I’m more than comfortable banking on a touchdown from him.
More or Less (MIA @ TB)
Chris Godwin 16.5 Fantasy Points (MORE)
DeVante Parker 12.5 Fantasy Points (MORE)
● Godwin: Godwin should do considerable damage out of the slot for Tampa Bay in this matchup. The strength of the Miami corners is on the outside, not the inside, and Godwin lives in the slot. After a few quiet weeks, he’ll get back to big-time production this week, and 16.5 fantasy points is a mark he should easily exceed.
● Parker: Only 12.5 points for a guy who has had at least seven targets in every game this season, and at least nine targets in two different games with Jacoby Brissett? Only 12.5 fantasy points for a guy going up against a defense that has been pretty generous to opposing receivers? Only 12.5 fantasy points for a quality wide receiver going up against a defense that forces the opposition to abandon the running game early? I’ll go with more than 12.5 fantasy points, please and thank you.
More or Less (Early Slate)
Tom Brady 22.5 Fantasy Points (LESS)
Derrick Henry 22.5 Fantasy Points (MORE)
● Brady: Just like last week’s game, if Brady doesn’t need to throw to win, he won’t. The Bucs played against a weak offense in New England and he only scored 13.5 fantasy points. This week, he gets the Dolphins at home. Miami is one of the worst teams versus the run, but one of the top ten versus the quarterbacks, so I’m expecting the Bucs to run Fournette quite a bit and let their defense shut down the Dolphins' offense for an easy win. There’s no need for him to get to 22.5 fantasy points. Take the LESS.
● Henry: Once again this week, it’s looking like the Titans will be without one or both of their star receivers. But there’s no need to worry since they play the Jaguars this week. Henry will have another great week and easily surpass the 22.5 fantasy points this week. When playing away versus a bad defense, Henry has averaged 30.59 fantasy points per game and is 89% consistent. I would definitely take the MORE.
Rapid Fire – Fantasy Points (Early Slate)
Derrick Henry and Davante Adams
● Derrick Henry vs Tom Brady (+0.5 fantasy points): Henry will have another great week and easily surpass the 22.5 fantasy points this week. When playing away versus a bad defense, Henry has averaged 30.59 fantasy points per game and is 89% consistent. Henry will win this by a large margin. The Bucs played against a weak offense in New England and he only scored 13.5 fantasy points. This week, he gets the Dolphins at home. The Dolphins are actually Top 10 in fewest fantasy points given up to quarterbacks. When Tom plays at home versus a good defense, he averages 19.30 fantasy points per game and is 33%.
● Davante Adams (+0.5 fantasy points) vs Jalen Hurts: Adams has been improving every week and now he gets an average defense in the Cincinnati Bengals. Adams has averaged 25.40 fantasy points per game and is 100% consistent and should be your winner in this matchup this week. Hurts has been great so far this year. He’s fourth in total points and 100% consistent. However, he has played all four games against teams who are ranked 23rd and higher in points given up to quarterbacks so far this season. This week he plays at Carolina, which is ranked sixth in giving up the fewest points to quarterbacks. I just don’t see him outscoring Adams this week.
