Week 18 Player Props on Monkey Knife Fight
MORE OR LESS
Dak Prescott 250.5 Passing Yards
Jalen Hurts 195.5 Passing Yards
Well friends, we’ve come to the final week of the regular season. And this is one finale that I am sure most of you are interested in just as much as I am.
A divisional game with both teams in the postseason, which means depending on roster situations, there may be a few healthy scratches, especially on the Philly side. So, let’s begin with Dak, and this, shall we say inconsistent at best offense. Tons of big names on that side of the ball, but the much-anticipated explosiveness has just not been there. And he hasn’t surpassed this week’s threshold once in the past five weeks. It's not going to get easier on the road against a secondary giving up just short of 216 yards through the air.
As for Hurts, two keys will factor in here. One is health and the other is how he’ll be managed given the fact he is banged up. Could he be pulled with the Eagles having clinched a playoff berth? Having said that, if he’s full go with no pitch count, I anticipate him having a solid outing similar to his recent play, which should be productive against a leaky Dallas defense that gives up over 240 yards.
- Recent history suggests it’ll be a tough day for Prescott, coming up short against one of the league's best units
- Assuming he plays, a nice soft Cowboy defense will assure 200+ for Hurts
Passing Yards: Prescott vs. Hurts(+55.5)
Receiving Yards: Lamb vs. Cooper(+9.5)
Given my notes on Prescott and Hurts, this play in my opinion becomes close to as solid as one I've seen all year. This probably means I'll be totally wrong, but I'll still say that a stingy Philly defense will keep the game close, and the margin between the two QBs will be also. The outlook on the Cowboy receivers is more uncertain. At this point, it's clear that the chemistry between Lamb and Prescott is above that of Cooper. And it's simply about consistency, with Lamb going over the 50-yard mark in each of the last five games, something Cooper has only done twice in that span. I anticipate Lamb to be one of the few bright spots this week.
- Hurts easily stays within the margin, if not out producing Prescott
- Lamb outpaces Cooper clear of the threshold
