Coach’s Game Plan: CFB DFS Week 12 (Main Slate) Preview

The Game Plan this week is simple. Take the evident value at running back, find a game stack in the picks given, find one or two more pieces to complete your roster. Presto! Green screens and a better bankroll for NFL Sunday. The best games to target will be the Ohio State, Michigan State matchup. The Penn State trio and pieces from the Pittsburgh and Virginia game. At this point in the season, we don't have to overthink it. Play the studs and let DraftKings screw up the pricing enough to make it all work!

Quarterbacks C.J. Stroud, Ohio State ($9,500) Stroud has found his stride. Last week, when called upon, he threw for 361 yards and five touchdowns. Michigan State has been exposed in their secondary three weeks straight. Stroud will continue his dominant season this week. He is the safest quarterback play to get you 28-33 points.

Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh ($9,100) Pickett is now the all-time leading passer at Pittsburgh. He will continue to make that record seem untouchable after this season. Virginia ranks 243rd against quarterbacks this season. Pickett will have no issues carving up this secondary. Expect 350 yards in the air paired with three touchdowns minimum.

Aidan O’Connell, Purdue ($6,200) O’Connell continues to be underpriced on DraftKings. O'Connell's last two outings have rendered 34.6 and 35.1 DraftKings points. This week he faces Northwestern. Northwestern has a good pass defense on paper. However, they haven’t played any teams recently with a passing attack as efficient as Purdue's. O’Connell should reach 24 plus DraftKings points with ease in this contest.

Sean Clifford, Penn State ($6,000) Penn State has zero confidence in their run game at this point in the season. Clifford will be given the reins to air it out in this matchup. Jahan Dotson is a smash play on this slate, and he will get there through good quarterback play. I would hesitate to play him at 7k, but 6k is too enticing to pass up.

Running Backs Brian Robinson Jr, Alabama ($9,000) Saban loves to enforce his will on his conference matchups. Robinson smashes every SEC team he faces. Expect a heavy dose of Robinson this week as the Tide roll once again.

Hassan Haskins, Michigan ($7,600) Corum was sidelined last week for the Wolverines. This situation opened up an extra ten carries and three targets for Haskins. If Corum is confirmed OUT again, Haskins becomes the best point per dollar play on the slate. I like Haskins if Corum plays, I love him if he doesn’t.

Evan Hull, Northwestern ($5,300) Hull averages 18 touches per game. The dual-threat running back will be involved early and often against Purdue this week. At $5,300 he makes for a perfect bring-back piece in a game stack with Bell and O’Connell. To make this decision easier, Hull is game script proof. They feed him regardless of the situation.

Roschon Johnson, Texas ($3,800) Bijan sadly is OUT for the rest of the season. Texas is a run-first team, and they won't give up their entire identity due to this injury. Johnson will take over the backfield. DraftKings missed the memo. Lock button squad!

Wide Receiver Jahan Dotson, Penn State ($8,400) Rutgers secondary will be exposed by Dotson’s speed this week. Dotson has a path to another 200-yard game this week. Dotson will have open space all afternoon but can Clifford deliver, is the real question? Loving the idea of pairing them together to start roster builds.

Xavier Hutchinson, Iowa State ($7,500) Hutchinson has cemented himself as a top talent going into next year's draft. The break-away speed paired with crisp route running makes for an elite combo. Oklahoma’s secondary has been suspect all season. A 40-yard slant to the house mixed with chain moving receptions will pay off the price tag this week.

David Bell, Purdue ($7,300) Bell is the bell cow for this Purdue offense. He continues to see ten plus targets a game while converting them into points. You won't be disappointed in this showing.

Jordan Addison, Pittsburgh ($7,100) The sophomore continues to improve upon the name he made for himself last season. Addison has already crossed the 1,000-yard mark this season. While adding 12 touchdowns on just 60 receptions. Pickett will look to him to make plays this week against Virginia.

Chris Olave ($6,400) and Garrett Wilson ($6,800), Ohio State The duo continues to be the best wide receiving core in the country. They both will see ten or more targets this week. Olave is my favorite of the two, but I won't blame you for choosing Wilson after a four-touchdown performance last week.

Jared Wayne, Pittsburgh ($4,300) When Taysir Mack went down with a shoulder injury, Wayne filled in perfectly. In his last three outings since the injury to Mack, he has no less than 16 points in each matchup. He hasn’t come close to his ceiling either. If Addison receives double coverage against Virginia this week watch out for an explosive outing.

Parker Washington, Penn State ($4,000) Washington takes over the number two role in this passing attack. At this price, you can easily play all three together (Clifford, Dotson, Washington) and hope the offense puts up 35 points due to the trio.
