Saquon Barkley signed a one-year contract with the Giants for $11 million with a $2 million signing bonus that will come to him prior to the season. Barkley avoids the franchise tag (for now) and the Giants get their starter back. I assume the two sides will try to work out a long-term deal next offseason.
If you were able to draft Barkley in Rounds 2-3 in the past few days, good for you!! He goes back to being drafted somewhere between ninth and 14th overall, depending on your league. I would be very happy to take him towards the end of the first round, as I think he is primed to prove his worth.
