The winner of the FSWA 2011 Newcomer of the Year Award, Dr. Roto first participated in fantasy leagues back in 1990 and was the subject of a UPN newscast for guiding numerous fantasy sports participants to league titles. Since then, Doc has worked as a Senior Fantasy Sports Analyst for RotoExperts, Scout Fantasy, and most recently, Sports Illustrated. Considered one of the top high-stakes fantasy football players in the industry, Dr. Roto has won numerous high-stakes championships, including multiple top-ten overall finishes in two of the largest national contests. He can be heard as a host on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and other major media outlets. When he is not giving out the best fantasy advice, Doc can be found driving his son to tennis tournaments across Florida, driving golf balls with his daughter at the local driving range, and driving Mrs. Roto crazy around the house.
Jayson Braddock was born in Florence, South Carolina, before moving to Houston, Texas in 1998 at the age of 19. After his fourth child was born in 2008, Braddock decided to pursue working full-time in the sports media industry. He spent the last decade hosting radio shows with SportsTalk 790 and ESPN 97.5 in Houston along with SiriusXM Fantasy. In 2011, while at RotoExperts with Dr. Roto, the duo put on their first-ever podcast called "Fantasy to Reality". A decade later, Braddock joins Dr.Roto.com as their Senior NFL Draft and NBA Draft Analyst.
Chris Emrick has been following E-Sports since the late 90s and playing DFS since 2015. With the rise of LoL (League of Legends) on DraftKings during the pandemic, two of his passions merged together. From there he was able to win over 50 GPPs of varied sizes across several sports in 2020 and hopes to double that figure in 2021.
Lou Landers went to college for sports business and management and upon leaving school in his early 20’s, he landed an internship in Maui, Hawaii. Lou spent six months working in many facets with the professional baseball team, Na Koa Ikaika Maui. Upon the completion of that internship, Lou began to write sports articles and eventually moved into radio hosting as well. He has now been in the industry for a decade, working for multiple websites, hosting over 1,000 podcasts and can be heard weekly on SiriusXM and the Armed Forces Network. Lou is the Director of MLB Content at Dr.Roto.com.
Outside of selling craft beer, Jon has lived and breathed fantasy sports for the past 21 years. His passion for helping people has made its way into creating a website that helps produce live streaming podcasts. He is excited to lead audio and video production for DrRoto.com.
Mark Larson started playing fantasy football in 1989, compiling stats from newspaper box scores and entering them into a Commodore 64. He co-founded the Draught 4 Upside podcast in 2018 which has since grown into the iLogic Media Network. His other passions are the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions and brewing beer on his farm in rural Michigan.
Al White was born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana. He is a PGA and NCAA Football analyst at DrRoto.com. You will find his previous work at FullTime Fantasy and Sports Illustrated. He runs his own personal training business and coaches high school wrestling. Growing up as a die-hard sports fan, he carefully chose to cheer for the Bears, Cubs, Bruins, Manchester United, and Tennessee Volunteers. In his free time, he goes on hikes with his three dogs and his wife, Aja. When he breaks away from the family, he enjoys golfing, disc golfing and gaming.
Born and raised in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, Willie is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. Recently he received his Masters degree in Information Systems and currently works in the government. Willie started playing DFS in 2015 and has won over $700,000 dollars, including over five first-place finishes. His biggest win was a first-place finish over 450,000 entrants, netting him $150,000. Willie is also a one-time DraftKings finalist where he finished in eighth place, winning $50,000. Willie's goal is to make his team and subscribers profitable and successful.
Derek Tate was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. He is the Sports Director and Play-by-Play Announcer for NewsNet and a fantasy football contributor for DrRoto.com. He is a huge fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When he isn't working, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Kelly, and his daughter, Kennedy.
Odell Blocker was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the self-proclaimed Phil Jackson (Mr. Miyagi) of DFS. Odell's claim to fame is that he has cultivated more GPP winners than anyone who has never won a big tournament. Odell loves football, basketball and the American way of life.
Eric Romoff is a native Texan and father of two who has been playing and analyzing fantasy sports for over 20 years. Eric is also the co-founder of Pros with Joes, a charity fantasy football league that pairs every-day fantasy players with the analysts they trust. Through this endeavor he has raised thousands of dollars for a variety of charities.
A lifelong New England sports fan, Mark's fondest childhood memory is running to a friend’s house to hand compile statistics and figure out fantasy transactions with the help of the once-a-week USA Today MLB statistic special. Mark went on to pursue his love of the weather and became a meteorologist. He will serve as DrRoto.com's DFS weather expert.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Tom is a diehard hockey fan. Although he didn't play organized hockey in his youth, Tom has immersed himself in all things hockey and has been playing fantasy sports since its inception. Tom is a proud father of four and when not traveling around to their activities, he is watching sports and collecting sports memorabilia. He is excited to guide DrRoto.com's subscribers to NHL DFS victories by giving out his nightly "Kick Picks."
The most electrifying caller in fantasy sports history is ready to bring the prescription for all your fantasy teams. Rob has been a huge wrestling, NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL fan his entire life. He has played seasonal fantasy football since 1994 and DFS for over a decade. His style has always been old school, using a pen-and-pad approach while looking for that ultra-contrarian GPP play. That is how Rob "brings the pain" to the competition.
*2021 DrRoto.com Staff Fantasy Football League Winner!!* A lifelong Massachusetts resident, Cam was a real Bostonian until 15 years ago, before moving to the New England Patriots' hometown of Foxboro. He's been an avid sports fan his entire life, and as a child would often write sports-themed letters to the editor, rebutting Peter Gammons' columns in The Boston Globe. While Bucky Dent broke his heart in 1978 Larry Bird, Curt Schilling, Zdeno Chara, Kevin Garnett, David Ortiz, and of course, Tom Brady have since mended it. Cam has been playing fantasy sports since the 1980s and is a true student of all sports. Cam has written for various websites including RotoExperts and Sportsgrid, and is excited about this new endeavor at DrRoto.com.
Alan Salem is a board-certified physician who loves all sports, especially fantasy baseball. Alan serves as DrRoto.com's Injury Expert. During his free time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and three kids, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Lucas Biery is an Indiana University graduate who cheers for the Hoosiers, Pacers, Colts, and the Chicago Cubs. When not spending time with his wife Tabitha or pug Winston, he can be found hiking or outdoors. Additionally, he hosts the LouCas Baseball Podcast with co-host Lou Landers and writes about fantasy baseball on Fantasy Sports Degens. Lucas specializes in Dynasty baseball leagues but plays MLB and NFL single-entry GPP DFS contests as well as cash games.
Chris Kennedy grew up on the small island of Martha’s Vineyard, MA. He started playing fantasy sports in the mid-90s, when your only source for statistics was the local newspaper. While he had always dreamed of working in the fantasy sports industry, it wasn’t until the fall of 2018 that he finally got his first crack at it; working for Jayson Braddock at Houston Preeminence. Over the last four years, he has worked with various fantasy sports companies, most recently The Fantasy Headliners. With Dr. Roto, he will focus on NFL DFS and player props, while also providing weekly rankings through FantasyPros. When he’s not writing articles or recording videos, he’s spending time with his dog, Brady, and also working as the General Manager of the Royal and Ancient Chappaquiddick Links.
Jack was born and raised in New Jersey and currently attends Michigan State University. He is a huge fan of the Spartans as well as the New York Jets, New York Rangers and Atlanta Braves. He plays fantasy football and baseball, both in redraft and dynasty formats. When he is not watching or playing fantasy sports, he can most likely be found spending time with family or friends, on the golf course, fishing or playing video games.
Bryan Armetta is a New York City native and lover of Tri-State area sports. Over the past six years, he’s written articles and appeared on podcasts covering the NFL, NBA and MLB, as well as NCAA basketball and football. As a dedicated player of all things fantasy sports, he’s always willing to give advice on who to start or sit, despite losinghis fantasy football championship game two years in a row. A devoted Yankees, Giants and Knicks fan, Bryan has seen his fair share of the good, the bad and the ugly of professional sports.
Jay's childhood obsession with statistics on the back of sports cards has blossomed into a 20-year love affair with fantasy sports. When he's not cheering for the Houston Astros, the Texas Longhorns, Austin FC or Arsenal, Jay enjoys hanging out with his wife, Daniela, and son, Finley, while finding time to figure out his next keeper league transactions for baseball, football and basketball. Jay also co-hosts an Austin-centric sports show with his friend, Kerry, and enjoys shooting hoops and playing soccer.
Bryce hails from Indianapolis, Indiana where he was born and raised. He recently graduated from IUPUI with a Journalism degree with a sports concentration. Playing and following sports has always been a passion of his since he was young, including winning his first fantasy football championship while in the fourth grade. His fandom is rooted at home with the Colts and Pacers, but it branches out to the Red Sox and his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. When Bryce isn't writing, you can find him podcasting with his friends Caleb and Zach, and spending time with his wife Abby.
Trevor was born and raised in Northwest Wisconsin and is a Minnesota Vikings fan. He has cashed over $75,000 in DFS, with his biggest win coming from taking down a $20,000 early slate NFL contest. He also won a $15,000 MLB DFS tournament this season (5/5/2022) and has many first place NBA tournament wins. Outside of fantasy sports Trevor likes to spend his time fishing the beautiful lakes of Northwest WI.
Mike was born and raised in Austin, Texas where he is a huge Texas Longhorns fan. He is a father of two who plays every DFS sport but specializes in College Basketball. When he's not grinding out lineups, Mike likes to spend time with his family, hanging out with friends and following all content of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A native Austinite, Kerry has been obsessed with sports ever since he learned how to do his first “Hook’em Horns” sign. In addition to playing ice hockey and devotedly following all of his favorite teams, Kerry has played fantasy sports for over fifteen years. Being a soccer and college sports obsessive led Kerry to co-host an Austin-centric sports show with his good friend Jay, focusing heavily on the University of Texas Longhorns and Austin FC. When he’s not stressing out over his alma mater, the Texas Longhorns, Austin FC, Arsenal FC, or the Astros, Kerry is probably trying to plan the next place he and his wife, Julie, will travel to, hanging out with their three dogs, or eating Mexican food on a patio somewhere.
Kyle has been passionate about fantasy sports since elementary school. It started in the mid-90s, tallying Sunday NFL box scores in the Monday morning newspaper. That evolved into season-long NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and European soccer fantasy leagues in current formats, as well as DFS. His love for sports started at an early age, and led to a collegiate and semi-pro (Italy) career in baseball. Besides playing, his love for dissecting rosters started when he got his hands on Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr. on the Nintendo 64. Since his playing days, he’s dedicated the past seven years to writing numerous fantasy baseball articles, joining podcasts and dissecting team perspectives by bringing first-hand knowledge to hitting/pitching mechanics. Minor league prospects have been a focal point in not only his articles, but his research. A graduate of Tommy John University, he’s been known to talk rehab, as well as long-term outcome, in an area he specializes in.
When it comes to fantasy sports, Gabe is someone who enjoys thinking outside of the box. He has played in a myriad of league types across almost every major sport, but his particular niche is Dynasty fantasy baseball. The shortest path to Gabe's heart is usually through baseball, retro video games or coffee. When he isn't catching up on the latest in the sports world, he enjoys spending time with his wife, son and three rescue dogs.
Ray has been playing fantasy sports for well over 20 years at this point, and has been writing about them for more than half of that time. After beginning at Rotoprofessor, he contributed to the Friends with Fantasy Benefits' draft guide and podcast content. Currently, he can be found at Fantasy Alarm covering baseball, basketball and football for both seasonal and DFS content. When not rooting on his fantasy teams, Ray is a proud girl dad and T-ball coach who is a delusional Knicks and Jets fan and also thoroughly enjoying the Astros dynasty.
John has loved the strategy involved in all kinds of games for as long as he can remember, and fantasy sports are no exception. While he used to play little league baseball, his most memorable moment was probably on the mound one day when he got hit in the eye by a comebacker. What really drew him further into the baseball universe was the love he developed for the game through playing fantasy. John's been playing fantasy baseball for about a decade now and doesn't ever plan on stopping. He is currently competing in the Fantasy Six Pack Series and hopes to compete in more industry leagues in the future. John enjoys trying to analyze all different facets of the game but especially loves pitching analysis. Having lived near Springfield, Massachusetts all his life, his favorite team is the Boston Red Sox.
